How to get to Hebron

1. Driving directions from Bethlehem (half an hour)

Depart from Bab ez Kak, the square on the great Jerusalem-Hebron road. Take the Hebron Road in the direction of Hebron, therefore in the opposite direction to go to Jerusalem.

Always go straight ahead. On your right you will see a petrol station. Continue.

Continue straight ahead until you exit Bethlehem, which will be recognizable by the Israeli control tower and the red light.

Here, turn right, then at the second set of traffic lights, turn left onto route 60 towards “Beer’ Sheva / Kyriat Arba “.

You are on route 60, and will stay there for a little while! This road is a common road for Palestinians and Israelis who live in surrounding settlements (like Kyriat Arba). You are in Zone C of the West Bank, that is to say a Palestinian territory under Israeli administrative and military control.

Quickly, you will see a sign announcing Hebron.

On the side of the road, you can observe several “villages” with red roofs. They are colonies.

At the Gush Etzion roundabout, continue straight.

You will see on your right the Israeli supermarket Ramy levy. Continue straight ahead.

At this height, bus stops decorated with Israeli flags and soldiers are bus stops for Israelis residing in the Palestinian territories, in “settlements”. The soldiers protect them.

Further along the road, you will pass the “Al Arroub” refugee camp. Continue always on route 60.

On your right, you will see the entrance to Halhul village, first the exit for Halhul north, then the exit for Halhul. Do not pass there, continue straight towards Beer Sheva, on route 60.

When you arrive at the intersection with route 35, take there, direction Hebron, Kyriat Gat.

Continue a few hundred meters on this road. Quickly, you will see that it is possible to turn left, a sign announces the arrival in Hebron, “Hevron” in Hebrew:

At the entrance to Hebron, as at the entrance to all the cities in Zone A, you will see a large red sign. Continue on the same road. You will arrive at a first intersection.

Here, turn left. Stay on the main road that looks like this:

At the first crossroads, turn right (petrol station on the left) continue straight for about 1km. At the next crossroads, turn left and continue straight until the entrance to the University which will be on the right. Park. Cross the street. You are there!
